Another niggle, in comparison to other phosh implementations and even manjaro's KDE interface is the lack of application splash screens during the (currently) long wait time.. It takes about 10 seconds to launch firefox.. but instead of seeing a splash screen, you see your wallpaper.. so you aren't sure if it is actually launching or has failed (as some apps do)..
After initially not having much of a positive impression of plasma, I think I might be slowly preferring it.. I tried Archlinux, pmOS and Manjaro plasma today and none of them dropped wifi.. they have splash screens etc. seemingly more scaled apps.. But on arch, it wouldn't install apps (just kept restarting at 99%) and pmOS could receive calls but not make them..","text":"It seems like it may be having problems with the orbi mesh wifi that I have.. despite being about 6 ft away from a satellite.. moving to another room increased speeds markedly and completed the update.\n\nAnother niggle, in comparison to other phosh implementations and even manjaro's KDE interface is the lack of application splash screens during the (currently) long wait time..
