It takes about 10 seconds to launch firefox.. but instead of seeing a splash screen, you see your wallpaper.. so you aren't sure if it is actually launching or has failed (as some apps do)..<br /><br />After initially not having much of a positive impression of plasma, I think I might be slowly preferring it.. I tried Archlinux, pmOS and Manjaro plasma today and none of them dropped wifi.. they have splash screens etc. seemingly more scaled apps..
